The Fox & Hounds Pub

The epitome of a community village pub set in the tranquil and picturesque village of Denmead, on the edge of the South Downs National Park in Hampshire. With its’ country style dining room and friendly bar, together with outside covered seating areas and scenic garden with glorious panoramic views over the surrounding countryside, this is the perfect place for almost any occasion.

Whether you want to eat casually in the bar and sample one of the many keg beers; or enjoy the carefully cooked and interesting menu, cooked by our team of chefs in the restaurant, featuring many seasonal items from local suppliers, the Fox and Hounds is your destination pub.

The bar

A warm welcome is as important as perfectly kept beers and the company of good friends. You will find them all in our cosy bar. The craft beers, the alcohols and non-alcoholic drinks, the sofas, and the log fire are all here. Children and dogs welcome (not necessarily in that order!).

The pub garden

Depending if you are a hardened walker, or prefer the more barmy summer days, our garden overlooking the beautiful open countryside is there for your added enjoyment. Whether on the restaurant patio, at an open table, or in one of our dining pods, the Fox and Hounds is the perfect pub.

Our Food

Take some pub classics, a few English classic dishes too, add a sprinkling of Asian flavours, and some European influences as well, and mix it together with the skill and passion of our chefs, and you have our menu!

Sourced wherever possible from local growers and suppliers, our ethos is to be as sustainable as possible, to bring you delicious food at sensible prices.
